How to get Indexed by Google in Seven Days or Less

Copyright (c) By Ewen Chia

Fact - Google is the biggest search engine now with more than 200 million searches PER DAY.

Suffice to say you're losing out big time if your websites are not listed in Google.

Of course your web pages must be indexed by them in the first place to guarantee any rankings.

Note: you'll not get a lot of traffic if your site's not listed in the first 2 pages for all your keyword searches. To achieve high rankings, I'd recommend using a software like Traffic Equalizer http://www.turnkeymoney.com/te.htm

Now there're two stumbling blocks to overcome if you want to be indexed successfully :

1) Your page should have at least one incoming link from another Google listed web page

2) It takes at least four to six weeks to be indexed

I'll give you a no-brainer secret to solve these two obstacles, while virtually getting your web page to be indexed in seven days or less.

And this has got nothing to do with AdWords or paying thousands to SEO companies.

How? You can use Google itself to get your own site indexed quickly!

Let me explain further.

The method's to simply write articles, participate in forums or list your website in active directories.

Here's what you do.

Search http://www.google.com for highly ranked and active article directories, forums, discussion lists related to your niche markets.  Submit your articles, link or posts to these high traffic sites.

An example, participate in popular forums with your link in your signature file.

Google normally re-index such high traffic active sites every five to seven days. When that happens, your own website url will be picked up and rotated to be indexed within 24 hours too.

Can you see how this method solve the two obstacles easily?

You get a quality incoming link and get your site indexed at the same time.

Get Googled, get indexed, get going!

"My wife and I own a small website business. We've upgraded and redesigned our site many times looking to increase our conversion rates but with no luck. We're stuck at about 0.3% to 0.5%. What are we doing wrong? Traffic to our site is pretty steady at 3,000 to 5,000 visitors each month." -- Joe Turney, JabezPosters.com

The best-selling religious book, The Prayer of Jabez, generates lots of searches, though not as many as a couple of years ago. On Google you're in position 7 for "Jabez" and position 3 for "Prayer of Jabez." Pretty good! But what are searchers hoping to find? Overture's Search Term Suggestion Tool indicates that, in October 2003, these were some of the relative search popularities related to "jabez":

the prayer of jabez

73

I see many generic searches for Jabez -- a lot of which land on your webpages -- but few searchers are specifically interested in posters or gifts. Your 0.3% to 0.5% conversion rate may not be that bad, when you consider that few people are searching for your kind of product. If there isn't strong demand for your product, you probably won't see your sales skyrocket no matter what you do.

On the other hand, you can improve your website and, in so doing, might even double or triple your conversion rate. For starters:

  • Instead of beginning your homepage with rhetorical questions, explain exactly what you offer and show a picture of your best-selling poster at the top of the page. Unless people can see an immediate, compelling tie-in with the Prayer of Jabez that they're searching for, they'll move on.
  • Use hyperlinks linked to small pop-up windows that answer every possible question or objection your visitors may have about your products, the sales process, guarantees, returns, quality, shipping time and cost, etc.

You'll find more ideas in my e-book How to Develop a Landing Page that Closes the Sale. You might be wise to set up a number of microsites, each of which features posters about a popular theme and each using the same shopping cart. I think you can only get so much mileage out of old Jabez by himself.
